Springside Chetnut Hill defeated Shipley School 1-0 behind the superb pitching of Sam Klug. Sam pitched a complete game allowing only 1 hit and had 12 strikeouts. SCH got things started in the second inning when senior captain, Marissa Wolff led off the inning with a hit.  Kama Bode just missed a home run, but settled for a double and put Marissa on third.  Emma Blaszczak put down a perfect placed bunt to load the bases with no one out. Courtney Oliver  drew a walk which led to Marissa scoring the only run of the game.  SCH struggled to generate their usual offense but the players stayed mentally tough and were confident they could win. There were no errors by the defense and SCH hung onto the one run lead. Darby Casey, the senior captain,  made several outstanding plays at second base. Coach Mill said, "I am so proud of this team. They played so well this year, wer so consistent and they really deserved to end their season with a Champiionship Title."
