In a hard fought close battle PC defeats SCH

In a close contest Penn Charter Girls Lacrosse (20-4-1) outlasted SCH (17-5) 8-7 for their first PAISAA title. PC got off to a fast start with a 4-0 lead. They pushed the pace and made some big defensive stops. Unfortunately, at the start of the second half PC got their 4th yellow card and had to play man down for the rest of the game.  According to Coach Colleen Magarity Kelly this changed their whole game plan.  They had to slow down the game and take care of the ball which is the opposite of they way they like to play.  Coach Kelly said "I was very proud of the girls and the way they handled adversity and were able to finish the game despite playing woman down."  Captains Darcy Felter, Maddie Shoup, Charlotte Hodgson, and Grace Turner were amazing all over the field and really stepped up to do their role to get this win.  Maddie Shoup scored three goals including the game winner with 4:20 remaining in the game. Charlotte Hodgson scored a pair of goals and Darcy Felter provided the assists to help fuel the PC attack. Kayak Joyce made huge saves in goal that were momentum changers. SCH was behind at the half by four goals but they never gave up.  Emma Bradbury of SCH scored two goals just two minutes apart to close the gap.  PC seniors have been trying to claim this title for four years and this was a terrific finish to their fine careers.
