A tight game with last second heroics brings Hill the win

Hill School won the first Commonwealth Cup Girls Basketball title in a close game. The score was 42-40 over George School.  Hill School jumped out to an early 14-10 lead after the first quarter. The lead would seesaw back and forth throughout the game. George School came back in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime 22-21. George School hung onto their lead into the fourth quarter 35-31. Hill School amped up their defense and  held George School to just 5 points in the 4th quarter. Big plays made by Courtney Bodolus ’23 knocking down 2 free throws to cut the lead to 3. Bodolus then knocked out a clutch 3 pointer to tie the game. Karly Cabot ’23 came up with a huge steal to give Hill the ball back with just under 20 seconds to play. AIne Farrell ’22 made the winning layup with 3 seconds left on the clock to secure the victory for the Hill School. Scoring leaders below-
